Jaira Koh is a PhD student in Theology, Ethics, and Philosophy at the Boston University School of Theology under Dr. Filipe Maia. His research is focused on theological approaches to questions of utopia, particularly those emerging from liberation theology. Jaira received a BA in Media Studies from Pomona College and an MDiv from Boston University. He was born and raised in Singapore, and attended a Methodist school founded by Bishop William F. Oldham, who was himself a lecturer in missions at Boston University from 1929-1930.
