Ava Ao SHEN was an international relations and French Studies major at Boston University. She graduated in 2019 and is now pursuing her MA at the School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University. She has been a research assistant on the CHCD project since fall 2019, specializing in French data collection from the biographical and geographical works on the early modern China Jesuit missions by Joseph Dehergne SJ.
